Another hot summer has arrived this year.
As an indoor person, I spend even more time at home in summer to escape the heat.
I am enjoying a life of watching TV and Netflix all day in a cool room.
Outdoor enthusiasts, please be very careful of heatstroke.
Well, as an indoor person, I enjoyed an outdoor shoot in the heat during this Toyooka walk!
This time is the "Kannabe edition."
Kannabe Plateau in Hidaka Town, Toyooka City, is a beautiful plateau rich in nature designated as part of the San'in Kaigan Geopark. There is "Kannabe Mountain," the newest volcano in the Kinki region that erupted about 25,000 years ago. The crater remains at the summit even now, so you can go see it.
Because it was hot and I wanted to feel a little cool, the first destination I chose was the waterfall!
I visited for the first time in decades since I went there in elementary school.
"Hattan Waterfall"
Following the navigation, we arrived after entering a small path that made us wonder if such a place really existed.
There is a parking lot next to the stairs leading to the waterfall, so we parked there and set off.
As soon as we got out of the car, we already felt excited, hearing the sound of the waterfall and feeling the cool negative ions.
Excited and thrilled, we walked down a narrow staircase between the grass for about 5 minutes.
The footing is bad, so I recommend easy-to-walk shoes like sneakers.
On the way to the waterfall, a bee commotion broke out.
For some reason, they kept following us around.
I am not good with insects, and Kaho-san, who is even worse than me, was chased around and exhausted by the time we reached the waterfall.
After looking it up later, I found out that bees are attracted to strong scents and black colors, so it seems that the scent of sunscreen and black clothes were no good. You have to be careful when going to the mountains.

Such an amazing impact.
The weather was very nice, so the color of the sky and water was a beautiful blue, sparkling and I was captivated.
Although I live nearby, I saw a waterfall for the first time in a while, and I was a little surprised at how exciting it was.
There are other waterfalls in Kannabe, so I thought I would like to visit again.
It's hot, so I feel like swimming, but please note that swimming is prohibited here.

"Agri Garden"
A cute log house-like building, a cafe with a very lovely interior space.
Although it is deep in the mountains, it is a popular local famous shop.
Actually, in May as well, I was allowed to shoot in the forest on the grounds of Agri Garden as a location for the clay LOOKBOOK.
The location standing in the forest is really a wonderful shop, so this time I decided to use it for lunch.

I found a photo spot next to the entrance and took a commemorative photo holding the "I came to Agri" board.
In Tajima dialect, it might be like saying "I came to Agri."
When entering the store, a retro woody interior and a somehow calming atmosphere drift around.
Ordered right away.
Orders are, unusually for Toyooka, done online with your own smartphone. (You can also order verbally)
I ordered the "Black Chicken Nanban Plate" I was curious about, and Kaho-san ordered the "Agri Burger".
When they were brought, both were pitch black!
This black color uses Kannabe white charcoal, which itself has no taste, so when you try it, it’s a properly delicious chicken nanban and hamburger.
Not only is it delicious, but you can also enjoy the surprise when it arrives.
I ate the pitch black chicken nanban cautiously, but it was very tender and juicy.
It’s a great value set with the main meal, cake, and drink after the meal, so you’ll be full.
In the great outdoors of Kannabe, I enjoyed delicious dishes made with plenty of local ingredients.

Finally, we went to the roadside station to buy Kannabe souvenirs.
"Roadside Station Kannabe Kogen"
There are many special products nurtured in Tajima, local vegetables, and carefully selected items that let you feel the hometown taste unique to Hidaka Town, Toyooka City.
Next door is the hot spring facility "Kannabe Onsen Yutorogi," so after playing at Kannabe Kogen, it’s good to heal your tired body in the hot springs.
We immediately did our shopping.
I first got the "Cabbage Chips" I had checked.
These are chips made from Kannabe Kogen cabbage, and they are a popular snack introduced on TV.
If you’re unsure, choosing this is a safe bet.
At the entrance, there was a UFO catcher for cabbage chips, so I tried once, but well, I couldn’t get it.
If you can get it within 4 tries, it’s a better deal than buying.
Kaho loves tomatoes, so she bought mini tomatoes.
It is a variety called Thin Skin Pinky, and the skin is thinner than usual mini tomatoes, giving a surprising texture.
The color is bright red, and as expected, the roadside station is cheap!
Vegetables are a better deal than buying at the supermarket.
While shopping, I encountered a scene where local women headed straight for a certain place.
Everyone was saying "This is it!" as they bought it, and it was the tochi mochi called "Honmamon Kannabe."
I was curious if it was really that delicious, so I got caught up and bought it too. It seems to be the most popular No.1.
The strongest word-of-mouth heard right in front of me.
Tochi mochi is a specialty of Kannabe, and I have always loved the gentle flavor of tochi nuts.
It was delicious with a chewy texture.
It's fun to look around the roadside station.
There are many local products that you don't usually see even if you live there, so I was spoiled for choice.

"A companion for a walk"

Since it was mountain walking, I wore an easy-to-move style with a Uniqlo T-shirt + wide pants + sneakers + pochette.
In summer, Bags made of canvas fabric with a light impression are easy to carry.
Kaho-san is also wearing the same Uniqlo T-shirt!
Simple monotone coordination. The colors are different, but both ended up with similar outfits.
Even in leather, the cool and smooth ice gray pochette is easy to use all season.
How was the Kannabe edition?
It was mostly a drive rather than a walk.
You can also enjoy the scenery while driving in Kannabe Kogen.
