Now, the first Toyooka walk of 2024.
This time, under the theme "Staff Recommended Gourmet Edition," we went shopping for staff-recommended gourmet in Toyooka city.
The shop introduced this time is a Tajima gourmet shop you can win in the lottery campaign currently being held at Toyooka Kaban Street store and Riverside store!
It's a real local popular shop that staff often visit.

Fruit Island Hyakkaen
A popular fruit shop selling seasonal fruits&fruit parlor.
The fruit parlor where you can eat parfaits and cakes made with fruits is very popular and is always bustling when you go.
It seems that about 600 customers come in a day on holidays!

The shop is lined with plenty of seasonal fruits, but the most eye-catching right now is definitely strawberries.
Strawberries are bright red and sparkling, and just looking at them makes you feel happy.
Since they are just in season now, we selected strawberries from Toyooka as the lottery prize!

PATISSERIE CAFE KATASHIMA
They have four stores in the Tajima and Tanba regions, and they are a cake shop that makes sweets focusing on local ingredients.
When it comes to cake shops in Toyooka, the first name that comes up is KATASHIMA.
The variety is rich with seasonal cakes and baked sweets that change throughout the year, so I never get bored no matter when I go, and now I find myself wanting to visit the shop to see what's available.
In my family, KATASHIMA's cakes have always been a staple, and since I often visit the Toyooka and Yabu main stores, I've pretty much conquered all the standard cakes. (Brag)
This is recommended besides cakes!
Asakura Sansho Tapenade.
It is an all-purpose seasoning made using the famous sansho pepper from the Yabu region.
It mainly contains olives and is a refreshing seasoning with a slight spicy kick of sansho pepper; it goes well with various dishes like meat and fish, but it’s delicious just spread on toast.
Recommended as a small gift.
And the prize chosen for the lottery is this Grand Chocolat.
These chocolate cookies are released every year as a winter limited edition.
These are cookies coated with chocolate, and not only the taste but also the unique texture can be enjoyed.

Next, to the butcher shop.
Doi Meat Shop
“Doi Meat Shop” located on Toyooka Station Front Street.
They handle high-quality domestic black-haired Wagyu and domestic premium pork.
The sign with the large (meat) character on the automatic door is the landmark.
And this time, I chose sukiyaki Wagyu as the prize for the first lottery draw!
At the end of last year, our company president gave all the staff some sukiyaki Wagyu from this Doi Meat Shop, and it was very delicious.
It's tender and easy to eat, each slice is very large and quite filling, so I'm very satisfied.
Good meat has a different aroma that escapes through the nose.
Those who won, please enjoy delicious sukiyaki.
The shop's recommendation is pork shoulder loin.
In winter, we have hot pot about twice a week, so pork is essential.
Personally, I bought pork for shabu-shabu for dinner.
After returning home, we had shabu-shabu, and it was completely different from the pork we usually buy at the supermarket!
It has no strong odor and the meat color is dark, so my father even mistook it for beef, haha.
Our family came to like Toi-san's pork, so my mother said she'll go buy some next time and went right away.

Finally, to a cafe just 30 seconds from Atelier nuu's shop.
Alter ego MATIC
A Wallets sales shop near the Riverside store and the Bag Street store, a cafe with authentic espresso and homemade sweets.
As introduced before in the Toyooka walk, you can enjoy sweets and drinks like coffee made with local ingredients that you can only taste here.
It's very close, so our staff often visits there.

There is an eat-in space on the second floor where you can enjoy tea at spacious table seats.
Tired from moving during the shoot, I had a cafe latte and almond au lait.
It is very relaxing.
MATIC's sweets change with the seasons, but right now the pot-roasted baked sweet potatoes are recommended!
I visited privately on another day and had pot-roasted university potatoes, which were moist and delicious.
