The Toyooka walk blog, which started two years ago, has finally reached its 10th edition!
We have visited many places like our favorite stores and spots we wanted to try, and even I, who live here, have made new discoveries and enjoy it together with the readers.
Customers who come to the store sometimes say, "I saw the Toyooka walk and went there!"
I’m glad I did it.
I plan to continue until I run out of material, so please keep accompanying me.
On the memorable 10th Toyooka walk, we went to Kinosaki Onsen.
This is the third time, but this time it’s the first night version!
We parked the car in the municipal parking lot next to Sato no Yu and started our walk.
Although it was unfortunately rainy, the gently falling rain also makes the Kinosaki hot spring town picturesque.
I found a panda in front of a house in the back alley.
Taking photos of ordinary things is also a travel memory.
Besides the main street, Kinosaki has many back alleys.
It’s interesting to feel a different sense of daily life from the hot spring town, so if you have time, please enter the alleys and take a walk.
The first stop of this trip is a butcher shop.
This is a specialty store for Tajima beef.
"Gyusho Ueda"
This is a butcher shop selling meat directly from Ueda Livestock, a Tajima beef farm.
Among Tajima beef, they handle high-quality Tajima beef "Tajima Gen (たじまぐろ)" raised in a rich natural environment without stress.
Outside the store, there was a Tajima Gen vending machine.
Which part of the steak will come out in the meat gacha?
If you're interested, definitely give it a try!
Inside the store, of course, there is meat, and also many frozen foods like minced cutlets and hamburgers perfect for souvenirs.
And this time, what I was interested in was the "steak skewer."
Even locally, Tajima beef is high-end, so steak is rarely eaten, but here, the rare Tajima Gen steak skewers are very reasonably priced!
Since it's skewered, it's perfect for eating while walking.
When ordered, it was grilled in the kitchen in the back and ready in a few minutes.
I immediately enjoyed it outside the shop.
It smelled so good even before eating!
The flavor of the meat and the aroma of the soy sauce steak sauce spread in my mouth.
Tajima beef has a great flavor, so compared to regular beef, the aroma that hits the nose was definitely different.

Next, to a popular dinner restaurant.
"OFF.KINOSAKI"
A stylish shop along the river just one street back from the hot spring town.
It’s a popular bistro where you can enjoy dishes made with local ingredients and natural wine.
The stylish interior is warm, and the comfortable space makes you feel calm while waiting.
I visited around 6 p.m. on a weekday, but since it’s a popular restaurant, customers kept coming one after another.
It’s so delicious that I often visit privately, but this is my first time for dinner, and I’m excited.
In the back room of the store, there is a lineup of natural wines.
I held back my urge to drink and chose cranberry juice this time.
I was torn because all the dishes using local ingredients looked delicious, but I chose two dishes I was curious about the taste of.
The appetizer is "Kumihama pear, fig, Shine Muscat, and milk workshop Sora’s fromage blanc salad."
A fruit-filled salad and definitely this! The two of us decided on this first.
All my favorite fruits, and my mouth was overflowing with happiness.
The sweet fruit and the tangy fromage blanc are refreshing and perfect for an appetizer.
The main dish is "Tajima chicken thigh butter grilled with green curry sauce."
I was drawn to the green curry sauce and ordered it.
The Tajima chicken thigh is very tender!
The green curry sauce is spicy and delicious.
Of course, I also had it with bread.
After the meal, the much-anticipated Basque cheesecake!
I couldn’t forget how delicious it was when I ate it before, so I definitely planned to eat it this time as well.
It seems it’s Kaho’s first time.
When you insert the fork, the inside oozes out smoothly, and the visual impact is also the best.
The rich, melty cheesecake with a burnt bitterness has a mature taste and is definitely delicious.
No wonder it’s popular.
When I suddenly looked outside the window, it had turned into a night view.
I fell in love again with this wonderful restaurant where you can slowly enjoy delicious meals while gazing at the beautiful outside scenery.
